The Secret Harbour Surf Life Saving Club has successfully reached Practical Completion early February 2016, ahead of schedule and within budget.
Bistel Construction was engaged by the City of Rockingham to construct the new 3 level Surf Life Saving Club, which features an external sun deck on the second floor over-looking Secret Harbour beach. The scope of work for the new Surf Life Saving Club project comprised of a ground floor, a 2 level suspended areas, structural steel portal framing with external split faced colour blockworks, a timber cladding façade system and aluminum windows. Internally the building comprises of Change rooms, Public Toilets, Office / Retail, Café, Function room, Multipurpose room, Youth Centre, Kitchen and serveries, a large Wet Training area used for their storage of boats, jet skis and surf boards, and the future training area of life guards.
The City of Rockingham were particularly pleased with the safety management and induction processes executed by Bistel Construction. The client proudly reported how impressed they were with the strong safety culture on site, which commences with a rigorous and through field worker’s induction process and checklists. These processes have been designed specifically to the project’s unique characteristics.
The City of Rockingham further commented on the efficiency, simplicity and clarity of the site implemented safe work systems.
