Health, Safety & Environment is the foundation value on every project BISTEL Construction project, Health, Safety & Environmental is our utmost important business focus. We strive to improve our own performance constantly, train, and mentor and motivate project subcontractors and strive to inspire higher health and safety standards industry-wide.

At BISTEL Construction, we are striving towards certification to AS4801 and FOSC in all occupational Health. Safety and Environmental Management. It is not enough to meet statutory obligations in terms of Health and Safety; we aim to exceed them. Our aim is to operate without injury or incident, and while this is a very high standard we commit to making it a reality. Our health & safety risk management is thorough and robust, and we seek to improve them at every opportunity.

BISTEL Construction believes and promotes our occupational Health and Safety as priorities for every aspect of our business, and we seek to involve all stakeholders in providing the kind of environment this policy needs to thrive. As such, we work to empower all of our employees and sub-contractors to prevent and eliminate any compromise of safety in the execution of their duties. Every member of staff has the authority, and the duty to review any action or situation that appears unsafe, and they understand that doing so will in all cases be supported by all level of BISTEL management.

The Environment

At BISTEL Construction, each project is subject to an Environmental Management Plan. We are dedicated to minimising or mitigating any environmental risk that any project presents.

Our team at BISTEL Construction are thoroughly committed to full regulatory and legislative compliance and we work to incorporate, and improve the best industry environmental management practices.

We provide full environmental awareness training for all BISTEL employees, and make very clear the empowerment and duty of each individual to act in issues of environmental impact. We strive to maintain clear and open communication with all personnel, and subcontractors about these environmental objectives in order to prevent any harm.

Wherever possible, we seek to foster sustainable solutions to waste and pollution management, energy efficiency and ecological conservation.
